Getting to Know Your Brand

by | Feb 22, 2016 | All Blogs, MARKETING

At Transformation Marketing, we take pride in the mission and values of our clients. Before we get our hands dirty, we take the time to get to know our clients and develop a feel for the brand in its entirety. Here are a few questions we take some time to ask before we dive in:

  • What is your brand’s purpose? Brand purpose should not be overly literal or dry. Brands should exist to enhance, improve, and further quality of life. Coca-cola’s brand purpose is not to provide soda or quench thirst- it’s to share happiness around the world. Brand purpose can be lofty and beyond a product or service’s physical existence. There are a million sodas out there, but people choose Coke because they connect with the brand. Humans act on emotion, not logic, after all.
  • What is your brand’s personality? Brands pose an image in the minds of consumers, not only by the product or service they offer, but also by their attitude and character. Some brands are laid-back and cool, while others are more homegrown and traditional. Brand personality is developed through marketing efforts and we want to be sure to keep it cohesive and stay true to the company.
  • What are your goals? Any marketing campaign begins with setting objectives. Clients come to us because they have a problem that we believe we can fix. The Transformation team will sit down with you and formulate feasible goals for your company’s campaign. Marketing objectives should be specific, attainable, timely, and measurable. Maybe the goal of your campaign is to increase a social following or maybe you’re just seeking an overall increase in sales? Whatever it is, we’ll figure out the best plan of attack to get you to the finish line.
  • What’s your budget? We’d like to be able to go crazy with your campaign and fill the media space with your brand, but unfortunately, no one’s got the money to do that. Keep in mind that with successful marketing, money spent turns into money earned. Our team will help you figure out the best allocation of your budget and spend it in ways that will most comprehensively reach your goals.

Taking the time to develop an understanding of your brand is the best way to assure results in your marketing efforts. Transformation cares about your business and it’s in our values to learn, respect, and amplify yours!
