Welcome Summer Interns, Megan and Hunter!

by | Jun 9, 2014 | All Blogs, Bean Team Insider

We are excited to welcome our very talented and eager-to-learn interns that will be with us at Transformation Marketing this summer: Megan and Hunter! Megan, our Graphic Design intern, has such a wonderful disposition and is very diligent in her research and design. We are excited to utilize her talents and get another creative mind in our Design Suite. Hunter, our Graphic Design/Video/Social Media intern is ready to test out his diverse skill set in real-life situations and get some hands-on experience in a marketing agency this summer.

Here’s a little more about both our new interns:

Meet Megan

Hello! My name is Megan Maslonka, which is a lot easier to pronounce than it looks, I promise. Fun fact, my last name is also Polish for buttermilk. I’m an art major also pursuing a marketing minor at Nebraska Wesleyan University. In the fall I’ll be going into my senior year, which I’m really excited about. I love working in all sorts of media such as digital, ceramics, metalsmithing, and just being crafty. Anything incorporating visual creativity has always appealed to me so it always made sense for me to major in something I have been passionate about for as long as I can remember.

In my spare time I enjoy baking, being outside (with spf as high as I can find – the sun is not kind to me), watching puppy videos, reading, being involved on my campus, and just having a good time with my friends. I studied abroad at the University of Sunderland in England last fall, working in their animation program while I was there. I came back with a really big travel bug, so I also enjoy exploring and adventuring new areas as much as I can.

Over all, I’m a pretty happy and energetic person who may or may not be addicted to coffee. I like to think it’s because it’s delicious, not because I need the caffeine. I’m extremely excited to work with the team here at Transformation Marketing and take advantage of the wonderful opportunity I have to be able to work as a graphic design intern here! I look forward to a summer full of learning, experience, and fun and plan on working very hard to contribute to the team!

Meet Hunter

Hello! My name is Hunter Sheldon Hendricks. I was born and raised in good ol’ Lincoln, Nebraska. It was there I graduated from Lincoln High in 2010. After that, I headed west to attend a much smaller, private, Liberal-arts College called Hastings College in Hastings, NE. It was a bit of a change for me but I’m more than happy with my decision to go there. I graduated from HC this last May with a double major in Psychology and Advertising. It’s a bit of a weird duo but I believe it works together well once you start combining the two.

In my free time, I do a lot. As much as I love a good nap, I don’t like to sit still too long. The thing I enjoy most is playing my guitar (I pick it up about every chance I get). I started music at a young age, playing violin through 6th grade, piano through 8th, and drums throughout high school.   My love of music grows each day, dragging me to concerts all around; from Zac Brown Band to Jay-Z. My second love is being outside. Whether that’s camping, hiking, fishing, grilling, or simply starting a bonfire in my backyard, whenever I get the chance to enjoy the outdoors, I take it.

Outside of my internship, I work through AmeriCorps at the Malone community center in Lincoln. There I make sure the kids have a fun summer while also staying out of trouble.

I have a love for meeting new people and experiencing new things. This keeps my life very exciting and myself full of positive energy. I’m sure there is more I could tell you about me but what’s the fun in that? Just come find out!

As you can probably tell from their bios, we have two very energetic and talented interns this summer. We are so excited after their first two weeks how they have both just taken their roles as interns and run with that. They fit right in with our team and have been doing great work for our company! We look forward to helping these two grow and learn this summer as well as having their additional creative input in Transformation Marketing.
