We are excited to welcome the 4 interns we have the privilege of mentoring during the Spring Semester of 2015! At Transformation Marketing, we take great pride in our internship program and the interns we have here. Our internship program, unlike many out there, does not consist of our interns getting coffee, filing papers and answering phones. Instead, our interns get real experience with real projects for real clients. Under our supervision and guidance, we allow our interns to get right into the tasks they would be performing here if they were a full-time employee.
Why do we conduct our internships in this way?
Well, for two reasons. First, when I interned at the Buffalo County Fairgrounds during my college experience, that is what my internship supervisor allowed of me and I learned so much being able to apply the things I had learned in my classes to real life. So, when Shannon was so kind to allow me to help start our internship program here at Transformation Marketing 2 1/2 years ago, I knew that was the type of experience I’d personally like to provide to interns coming in, and Shannon agreed.
Second, we look at our internships as an extended interview. We have hired 3 of our interns in the past because of their outstanding performance (and the fact that we had position open at the right time). We love getting to know the up and coming minds in our industry, having fresh ideas and seeing how they work in the Transformation Marketing environment and what they have to offer to the team.
Meet our Interns…
We’ve been talking a lot about our internship program, but it’s time that we introduce you to our interns for the semester.
Theresa
Theresa, a Marketing major at UNL, was our first intern to hit the scene this Spring Semester when she joined our team as a Marketing Research Intern. Since marketing is such a broad concept, we like to ask our Marketing Interns which part of marketing interests them the most. For Theresa, this was research. She said it several times in her interview and so I knew right away we had a great spot for her here! Theresa has won us all over with her dedication and sweet personality.
Scott
Scott has joined us as a Social Media intern at Transformation Marketing this Spring. Scott is currently a Marketing major at UNL and is fascinated by social media. During his interview, he told me that he feels “at home” in the marketing field. Scott is a true team player and loves to collaborate and problem solve. We are very excited to have Scott with us. He fit in right away and has really taken every task given to him and done a wonderful job!
Renae
Renae is the other Social Media Intern who has joined us for this Spring Semester. She graduated in 2011 with a degree in English. Renae is a writer through and through. Right from her first day she dove right in to her role as a part of our team. During her interview Renae told me that she loves how many different aspects there are to the marketing industry and loves being able to improve people’s lives through marketing a great product or service.
Rachelle
Rachelle is a joining us for a couple of weeks in April as a Graphic Design intern. A Design and Media Arts major at SCC, she is very excited to get her feet wet in the industry and put her knowledge to use. She told me during her interview that she is very excited to work as a part of a team. Although I have not yet had the pleasure of meeting Rachelle in person, I am very excited for her to join our team in April so we can get to know her better!
Again, a huge welcome to our new interns! We look forward to working with you more and seeing everything you have to offer!
